Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Author, ideally with automotive based experience, who will be able to hit the ground running. It is essential that you have extensive experience of working with Frame Maker. The role purpose is to gather, verify and interpret information for use in a suite of owner literature for the automotive industry. To produce documents which can be published as printed material or online. Main Responsibilities: Liaise with customer's Product Development teams to define vehicle operational features. Collate technical information from various engineering sources and re-author in a structured environment. Using a suite of structured authoring tools and guidelines, interpret technical specifications into a customer-focussed publication. Present the information in an easy to read format using plain English. Carry out on-vehicle validation of the owner information. Create concise graphic brief for technical illustrators. Person Specification: Degree or HND qualified, with excellent qualifications in English. IT and computer literate.
