More opportunities for legal secretaries in larger cities
01/09/2008(11:55)

Larger cities "probably" have more opportunities for legal secretaries, according to an industry expert.

Ray Barrowdale, press officer for the Institute of Legal Executives, said that cities such as London, Birmingham and Leeds may have more roles.

He added that "the bigger the place the more opportunities" there are likely to be and people in larger cities may have more opportunities to find work than those living in smaller towns.

"As the economy slows down so the legal sector is beginning to slow also and job opportunities are probably not as widespread as they were but there are certainly still jobs available for people who have the qualifications and experience," said Mr Barrowdale.

The Legal Week Employee Satisfaction Survey 2008 recently found that the number of lawyers looking for a new job dropped by 12 per cent compared to the figure 12 months ago.
