Some 250 jobs are due to be created by discount retail chain Primark as it opens a new store in the Black Country.
According to the Express and Star, the fashion chain is set to open a new branch at the Merry Hill Centre in May this year.
Vacancies will be advertised for supervisors and retail operatives, with 20 full-time and 104 part-time positions, as well as 123 weekend-only roles.
Les Jones, former Dudley Council economic regeneration chief, said that the announcement is a "much-needed boost" for the area.
He added: "It has got to be good news that jobs are coming to the town, although I would like to see more diversity in the type of vacancies being created."
Primark plans to open 15 new stores across the UK, including a flagship store on London's Oxford Street.
Meanwhile, budget rival Peacocks has announced it will open a new UK store in Southampton, employing 70 staff, the Southern Daily Echo has reported.
