Wage equality 'will take time to resolve'

The discrepancy between male and female salaries is set to exist for "a lot of years", according to an expert.
President of the British Association of Women Entrepreneurs, Tanya Hine, has said that the equality of wages will only be resolved over time and there could still be "a lot of years" before the glass ceiling is broken.
She added that there has been a "great shift" over the years but warned that there is "still quite a bit to go".
"It's not something that can be legislated or dealt with," added Ms Hine.
"It just causes more upset and it's really not the solution , but slowly of course it will happen."
A recent study by the Fawcett Society, which campaigns for equality, found that women working full-time earn an average of 17 per cent less than their male counterparts.
