Asda create jobs

One supermarket's decision to create a scores of new jobs has been welcomed by local politicians, it has been reported.
Asda has created more than 30 new jobs at its Ballyclare store with expansion of its home delivery service, according to the Newtonabbey Times.
South Antrim MP William McCrea welcomes the supermarket's decision.
Following a meeting with the firm's chief executive Andy Bond last week, he told the publication the move was positive development for the local area.
"Mr Bond's announcement that up to 40 new jobs are to be created through the launch of the home shopping scheme is proof of ASDAs on-going commitment to the town," he added.
According to the publication, the new delivery service is available to customers within a 20-mile radius of the store and Glengormley, Larne, Ballymena and Carrickfergus fall into the catchments zone.
The supermarket was founded in 1965 by a group of Yorkshire farmers and became part of the Wal-Mart group in 1999.
