Second Tyne Tunnel to create jobs

Thousands of jobs could be created in the north east as work on the second Tyne Tunnel has begun, it has been reported.
According to the Journal, local politicians claim up to 10,000 new positions will be generated as the £260 million transport project provides a massive boost for the local economy.
John Harrison, the mayor of North Tyneside, told the publication the Cobalt Business Park is one of the biggest in Europe and created 10,000 jobs.
He added that he believes another 10,000 will be created over the course of the next five years at the park as 75 miles of the A19 will be between Northumberland and North Yorkshire.
Jarrow MP Stephen Hepburn, told the newspaper: "This much-needed project will provide a tremendous boost. Not only will it create jobs
but the project ensures that local people and businesses will benefit from the improved transport links."
Meanwhile, Register Hardware reports that thousands of jobs will be created by the government's plans to develop an electric car infrastructure in the UK.
