Popular retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S) is creating 300 jobs in Scotland, reports a local newspaper.
The high-street store will create 150 part-time roles and 150 full-time positions, says the Glasgow Evening Times.
A £25 million expansion is planned for the Glasgow Fort shopping centre, increasing M&S's space by 50 per cent.
Almost half of the 175,000 square foot extension planned for the complex will be taken by M&S.
The company also has plans to launch a store in the East End but will wait until the Fort project is finished.
However, a spokeswoman told the newspaper that if the plans went ahead a "significant number of jobs [would be] created."
Phil Goodman, manager of the Fort shopping centre, said: "M&S has been inspired by our trading figures and opening hours, coupled with the work we do with the local community."
The developers of the extension think that a further 200 jobs will be created in the expansion, with 100 being in construction and 100 in retail.
M&S has recently closed a store in London to make way for a giant flagship store in Colliers Wood which will create 150 extra jobs.
