Talent management to play big role in future of HR

Talent management is set to be the most important role for people employed in human resources (HR) management in the future, it has been claimed.
According to the one company, finding, developing and keeping talent will be more important than just filling vacancies in the future.
Wolfgang Clement, chairman of the Adecco Institute, said: "Tomorrow's companies will compete not on low wages or natural resources, but on skills as the driver of innovation and productivity.
"Growing companies will increasingly look to the global workforce to satisfy their appetite for skills and expertise."
He added that technology has "demolished the boundaries" which were once presented by geographical distances and talent can now be used "regardless of location".
A survey conducted by the company has revealed that the average planning horizon for a profession in the HR industry today in only 1.1 years.
It was recently revealed that some public sector HR workers get paid over £100,000, according to Personnel Today.
