Almost half of the UK workforce consider changing jobs after returning from their summer holidays, according to a new study.
Research by DirectHolidayBookings.co.uk found that 46 per cent of workers admit to thinking about quitting their current job after a break.
The survey, which questioned 1,500 people, also found that 56 per cent of people feel "unsettled" after returning from time off during the summer.
However, 87 per cent of respondents said that a summer holiday made them feel more refreshed and "positive" about work when they return.
Andrew Gibson, director of the website, said that taking a break helps people to "recharge the batteries" and "reflect" on both life and career.
"But it's only natural that, as they return to the daily grind, many people will suffer from post-holiday blues," he added.
A different survey by management consultants Hay Group recently found that 20 per cent of UK workers admit to being "frustrated" at work.
