Microcomputing in South Tyneside has announced it will double its workforce in the next two years.
The company, which recently moved to Boldon Business Park from Sunderland, told the Shields Gazette that it plans to take on another ten employees, making its workforce 20-strong by 2009.
It also expects its turnover to increase to £2 million, double its current turnover.
Managing director Chris Edmondson told the newspaper that there were already some sales vacancies being advertised and jobs on the technical side of things would be available soon.
"I'm fairly confident we can double our workforce in the next year or two.
"We are finding that the economy in north-east England is fairly buoyant at present, and we aim to take advantage of that healthy climate."
The company was founded in 1981 and designs, installs and supports IT solutions with a focus on efficiency and cost-cutting.
The Gazette reported that key clients include global company Nike and local vehicle gire company Northgate.
