Jobs 'set to be available in the finance sector'

There is set to be a large amount of jobs available in the finance sector over the coming years, according to an industry expert.
The national director of Hays Senior Finance, Teresa Thorrington, has said there will "never be enough good people" to meet the "job demand".
She added there are still "plenty of jobs to go around" regardless of the financial climate, with the current downturn showing "little sign" of ending.
"We are seeing an increase in the demand for qualified accountants in insurance, oil and gas, internal audit, FMCG [Fast Moving Consumer Goods] companies, and the public sector," added Ms Thorrington.
Figures published by the Office for National Statistics recently showed that 138,000 people were made redundant in the three months to July 2008, which was up from 28,000 in three months to April 2008.
