Over 70 per cent of IT leaders are looking for new jobs, according to a new study.
A study by recruitment consultants Harvey Nash, in partnership with PA Consulting, found that 72 per cent of IT leaders were either "actively seeking" a new job or "would consider" an approach from another firm's head hunter.
ITpro.co.uk reports that the study, which surveyed 360 UK chief IT officers, also found that 63 per cent of respondents expected to move roles within the next two years.
Some 74 per cent of respondents did say that there current role was either fulfilling or very fulfilling.
Martin Smith, UK director at Harvey Nash, told the website that: "Stability is not necessarily a good thing.
"One factor driving this stability is the nervousness surrounding the economy. Not many people are going to want to take that leap of faith and look for a new job."
The chief of human resources for outsourcing giant Capgemini, Robert Ingram, has said that "special efforts" have to be made to staff transferred into an organisation, reports Personnel Today.
