IT sector growth recorded

The IT and computing industry saw increased growth last month, it has been reported.
New business meant an increase in activity for IT and computing as well as storage and communications and the transport sector, Supply Management noted.
Figures from the latest CIPS/NTC Purchasing Managers' Index, showed IT and technology saw a 0.6 point growth in August compared to July - which could indicate a need for more jobs in the sector.
What's more, growth is expected to increase in the sector as the index details expectations are at 73.5 for this field.
Orders for new business fell by 0.3 points from July but still remained above 50 - the index benchmark for growth - at 57.7.
It was recently reported that computing skills are of "paramount importance" to employees. Chief executive of the Association of Professional Recruitment Consultants Peter Clayton suggested that internet and computer skills are necessary for jobs in the current employment market.
