Swansea waterfront development to create over 100 jobs

A new development on the Swansea Waterfront could create a number of jobs for local people.
Property firm Waterstone Estates has bought half-an-acre on the waterfront site, known as SA1, from the Welsh Assembly Government for £9.2 million.
A 132-bed hotel, a restaurant and a Tesco store, which are all predicted to create over 120 jobs, will be built on the land.
Steve Penny, West Wales Chamber of Commerce president, told thisissouthwales.co.uk the investment was "an excellent piece of news for Swansea".
"The jobs will be especially welcome. SA1 needs a full and balanced mix of knowledge economy businesses, general commerce, retail, and leisure opportunities," he added.
A joint announcement by supermarket giant Asda, landowner NCR and developer Macdonald Estates recently said they were investing £75 million into a new leisure complex in Dundee.
