A number of people left unemployed by the collapse of a Gloucester travel firm could find roles with a local IT company.
IT security firm MessageLabs has announced that a number of positions may be available to those made redundant when Travelscope went into administration last month, the Gloucester Citizen reports.
Recruitment consultant Greg Berlandi, currently working on behalf of MessageLabs, said that the company has a "real mix" of positions, including sales, credit control and more technical roles.
"We wanted to let people know we have some jobs going after hearing about the problems at Travelscope," Mr Berlandi commented.
According to the newspaper, MessageLabs is in close proximity to Travelscope, meaning the latter's former employees would not have to travel further afield.
MessageLabs offers a variety of services aimed at helping organisations to protect and control electronic data.
The company has 16,000 clients, including large corporations and small businesses, in over 86 countries around the world.
