South Wales shopping centre searching for staff
24/07/2008(15:42)

Employees are being sought after across South Wales for a new shopping centre which is set to create up to 4,000 jobs.

The St David's Partnership in Cardiff is looking for potential workers from the city and also the Valleys, Newport and the Vale of Glamorgan.

NewsWales.co.uk reports that the £675 million scheme is set to open in 2009

Job opportunities are available in the sales and operations sector, together with roles in security, administration and management, according to the centre's owners.

Steven Madeley, centre director for St David's, told the newspaper that it had a "commitment" to bring jobs to the city.

"A career in retail can be very rewarding and we want to make that opportunity available to as many people as we can ahead of 2009," he said.

Earlier this week, the Coventry Telegraph reported that retailers in the Maybird Retail Park in Stratford were searching for new employees for their stores.
