Factory creates new jobs
19/11/2008(13:18)

A number of new jobs will be created by a factory opening, it has been reported.

Officials from Furness Enterprise and Henry Armer and Son met yesterday (November 18th) for the opening ceremony of the 15,000 sq ft factory, according to the North-West Evening Mail.

The firm will create ten new jobs in Greenodd to add to its existing workforce of 26 people in Leece.

Harry Armer, one of the partners in the firm, told the publication: "This new facility will allow us to expand production, adaptation and manufacture of customised vehicles and equipment which would be marketed to clients in the public and private sector grounds-care service industry in UK."

The firm's new premises will include offices, a production area and stores, test and display facilities.

It received financial support from the Northwest Regional development Agency for the project.

Meanwhile, the Hull Daily Mail reported this week that Axis Telecom will create 70 new jobs in the city when it opens a new call centre next month.
