Britons 'expect career changes through working life'

A new survey has found that 25 per cent of Britons will change careers three times or more in their life.
Research by the government's Training and Development Agency for Schools also found that 60 per cent of people expect to change career twice throughout their working life.
The Press Association reports that the survey was done as part of the Transition to Teaching campaign, which aims to get people to transfer their work skills into teaching.
However, the results show that professionals from all sectors may be looking round for "new horizons" or challenges.
Kurosh Kiani, customer service manager for ClickAJob, told the news agency: "Because there is also a skills shortage, most employers will look at applicants from other disciplines, as long as dexterity in numeracy and literacy is sufficiently strong."
The results of another recent survey by iProfile.org found that candidates who fail to show "evidence of past accomplishments" are more likely to be rejected by employers, reported Online Recruitment.
