ICAEW launches site for in demand members

A new jobs board has been set up by an industry body to advertise roles for accountants and other finance professionals.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) has launched the site to target its over 130,000 members.
Online Recruitment reports that ICAEWjobs.com offers a variety of categorised jobs incorporating the various different roles available for qualified accountants, including in the commerce and industry, practise and not-for-profit sectors.
A number of leading accountancy firms including Robert Half, Goodman Mason and Robert Walters have already signed up to be included on the jobs board.
Luke Collier, head of online recruitment for the ICAEW told the website that its members are in "high demand".
"By taking advantage of the channels of communication that already exist between us and our members, were able to offer recruiters unrivalled access to a much-sought after group of finance professionals," he added.
The Professional Oversight Board's Key Facts and Trends in the Accountancy Profession report found that there are now 277,761 chartered accountants in the UK and Ireland, Accountancy Magazine reported.
