More than 100 new construction jobs will be created following the approval of a tower in Islington, it has been reported.
Developer Derwent's plans for the 150 metre project have finally won a year-long planning battle, according to Contract Journal.
The 39-storey tower was set to feature 225 homes and a second tower was to play host to shops and offices but the plans may be scaled back despite being given the green light by communities' secretary Hazel Blears.
A spokeswoman for the developer told the publication the project's details will be reviewed in the light of market conditions.
"It will proceed, but in that form, they don't know. It may change and the developers will be looking at the market conditions and demand, which may see changes made," she explained.
Meanwhile, it was reported by the Herald that thousands of new jobs will be created by Donald Trump's dream golf course, which the tycoon is creating in Aberdeenshire.
