A new Chinese link up could provide a jobs boost at a Yorkshire factory, it has been reported.
New Halifax firm Aspen and Court has partnered with Chinese firm Bosideng which means a job boost for the town's former John Holdsworth factory, according to Halifax Evening Courier.
The publication states the firm will steam, press and repackage clothing to be sold in Greenwoods shops nationwide.
Neil Roberts, the firm's managing director, told the publication the firm is looking to expand rapidly, which could create even more jobs further down the line.
"There's in excess of 200,000 items of clothing going through this warehouse and then on to Greenwoods shops all over the country. But as a business plan we're hoping to increase that [and] the potential to expand is that massive," he added.
Gordon Gao, president of Bosideng added that he was delighted to help create jobs in Calderdale.
Meanwhile, it was reported by Transport Briefing last week that Network Rail had awarded a new contract to Balfour Beatty Rail Projects to lay a new track, which could create jobs in the engineering and construction industries.
