VoIP industry set for large growth

Voice over internet protocol (VoIP) technology will create more jobs than any other industry this year, according to a study from IBISWorld.
The business research firm produced its annual 'Hot Job List-the Top Ten' and identified it as the industry which will "lead the way in terms of employment growth".
IBIS World predicted that the industry would see average annualised jobs growth of around 19/4 per cent, through to 2012.
George Van Horn, a senior analyst at the company, said: "This is the result of significant revenue growth forecast for the same period, driving more organisations to enter the industry, which in turn will boost employment."
He added that the sector still had "a reasonable way to go" as it takes on more business and consumer adoption.
Mr Van Horn said that the increasing quality of broadband services in the home added to the call quality of the service.
It was recently announced that IT and technology company Wipro is set to create hundreds of news jobs in a new facility near London.
