Tourism industry to benefit from all British Euro final
01/05/2008(17:57)

The UK tourism industry is set to boom following two British teams reaching the European Cup final, which is to be held in Russia.

It is estimated that 50,000 fans will follow their teams to the country to watch the match on May 21st.

However, warnings of a shortage of accommodation in the capital city may make the job of travel agents harder.

In addition, the fans are facing difficulties in getting their visas to enter the country.

Speculation that certain visa requirements may be lifted for the event are rife and will certainly make the job of a travel agent easier.

David Gill, the chief executive of Manchester United, recommended package deals as they will include the visa.

Those in the tourism industry may make recommendations such as the sports minister Gerry Sutcliffe's, that match goers should be on their best behaviour as poor conduct could hinder plans to host the 2018 World Cup.

It was reported by the Telegraph that it will cost between £999 and £1,370 to attend the event.
