Manufacturing firm creates new jobs
15/01/2008(11:50)

The opening of a new factory in Northampton could create a significant number of jobs in the local area, it has been claimed.

InfraRed Integrated Systems (Irisys) has relocated its production facilities to the Westgate Industrial Estate and opened a new headquarters in Swan Valley.

David Clayson, managing director of the company, said that it is an "extremely exciting time" for the firm, which is experiencing "major growth".

"Northampton is an excellent location for our business and we are glad to say that the continued growth of the company will bring new jobs to the local area," he commented.

The organisation, which currently employs 84 members of staff, is likely to expand its workforce to meet an increase in production.

Last month, Irisys was presented with the Merlion Award at the Safety and Security Asia Exhibition.

The company received praise for its Access Control Tailgate Detector.
