We act in conjunction with another recruitment company on this assignment whose client is an engineering company who specialise in manufacturing avionics equipment and who is part of a British International Engineering Group with sales of over £600m pa. They are currently seeking a Stores Controller to be based at their manufacturing plant on the South Coast in Hampshire. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure that all stores functions are operated effectively to meet the needs of the business. Reporting into the Production Control Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective daily completion of all stores functions including the accuracy of database transactions. You will be responsible for the supervision of the stores team, including the monitoring/controlling of attendance and maintenance of relevant records. You will lead daily start up meetings and plan, allocate and prioritise work and will be responsible for effective communication with other departments in order to expedite work and parts requirements. You will be responsible for generating and maintaining morale, discipline, good employee relations and communications within your team. You will develop team members by identifying and recommending appropriate methods of training and development (eg PDR process) and to develop and maintain a training Matrix.
