IT Support Technician

IT Support Technician - Kent (Active Directory, MS Server 2000/2003, Exchange, SQL Server 2000 and MS IIS v6) Successful candidate will provide support for the hardware, software and networks for the organisation, involving multiple locations. Therefore this role requires regular travel to other sites in the UK. You will also co ordinate purchases and installations of new equipment and carry out upgrades. You will be a single point of contact for incidents, and will be responsible for ensuring that issues are resolved quickly. Reporting to the Network Manager, you will also be involved in network and user support related projects. You: My client is looking for around 3 years experience in a similar role, with experience in Help desk Support and the installation of support of applications such as MS Windows XP and 2000. You must have a strong technical background with proven experience of installing, configuring, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software and network interaction problems. Your technical experience will also include Active Directory, MS Server 2000/2003, MS Exchange, SQL Server 2000 and MS IIS 6. Any exposure to ITIL and MCSE is preferred. This role is high profile, requiring a professional candidate, and someone who has ambition to learn. An urgent role, ideally requiring candidate to start ASAP.
