Assistant Front Office Manager. Manchester. Assistant Front Office Manager Required for a large 4 star hotel, part of an International Group providing excellent Food & Beverage facilities, & hosting numerous hospitality awards. Responsible for Guest & Service Management, Concierge & Switchboard Operatives. Managing & co-ordinating all aspects of the Front Office in a friendly, efficient & prompt manner. Optimising room revenue, working within the company guidelines to the highest standards. Assist in the planning for meetings and special events. Utilise business forecasts to schedule employees. Controls open and closed dates, availability and condition of rooms, and ensuring customer room security. Monitors advance deposit and credit procedures. Develop strategies to improve Front Office routines. Checks the arrival list, conference guest list, and VIP list and informs appropriate individuals on returning guests, VIP's and special guests. Blocks rooms for VIP's and special guests. Challenges Front Office staff to utilise yield management, occupancy and average room rate to maximise room revenue. Utilises leadership skills and motivation to maximise employee productivity and satisfaction. Helps Front Office staff to increase REVPAR ' Assists in recruitment & selection process Front Office. Identifies training needs and develops the departmental training plan. Encourages, develops and manages effective employee relations throughout the hotel. Ensures that the highest standards
