Are you a Mechanical Engineer with strong technical, process management, design and project engineering? If so a global name in food manufacturing has an excellent opportunity to join their equipment development team! The role holder will have responsibility for the design and development of mechatronic products that meet customer and business requirements. You will be responsible for the management and documentation of all designs and related data through equipment development and processes. The Mechanical Engineer will be the key interface with the equipment suppliers and sub-contract manufacturers. Furthermore the Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day management, direction and output of contract design engineers assigned to their projects. The role will ensure any design contractors are compliant with quality and process standards of the site. Generate concept designs on CAD with the framework of each project Manage and document equipment projects through all phases of the equipment development process. Develop low level time and product cost plans for a range of technical projects. The role holder will have a strong technical, engineering and manufacturing understanding. A strong Mechanical Engineering track record in the design of mechatronic products, including plastic injection mouldings.
