Database And PHP Developer

Our client who is a Web based company is looking for a Database and PHP Developer to work in their office in London. As a Database and PHP Developer your main role will be to maintain and develop the databases used by the company. You will ensure that new data are loaded in a timely and accurate manner to support the rich content on the Website. You will produce reports from our data as required and optimise our databases and data loading procedures. Contribute to the development using PHP, HTML, CSS, etc. Understand and follow Agile and Scrum as implemented. Key duties You will act as primary owner of all data related development on the Web You will be responsible for all data coming into and going out of the Web systems. You will provide instruction to the development team in good practice and database design. You will work closely with the business team to ensure data quality and timeliness are of the necessary quality for the site. You will take responsibility for our data strategy and improve our efficiency when loading and presenting data. In conjunction with the rest of the development team, you will support and improve the Website. Ideal Key skills: 2 + years' commercial development experience in MYSQL or another RDBMS. Experience with complex database design. Experience of performance tuning databases. PHP experience, ideally PHP5. Good knowledge of OO development.
