An exciting opportunity in the manufacturing and supporting electronic and electromechanical products and sub systems for the international defence, transit and aerospace markets is available with an excellent salary and benefits package. Our client is looking to recruit a Principle Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for providing mechanical design expertise in support of new business developments in the area of power systems, power converter and motors. Working with specialists from other engineering disciplines, the candidate will provide mechanical design expertise in support of future business opportunities. This will include feasibility studies, technology developments, concept designs for new products and bids and proposals. The candidate will also be required to provide guidance and support to other mechanical engineers within the engineering community and to contribute towards the development of engineering excellence within the business. Key Responsibilities: Provide the Future Business Group with mechanical engineering expertise in support of future business opportunities Generate concept design proposals and feasibility studies to support future product development programmes Contribute towards the engineering strategy of the business Guidance and support to other mechanical engineers Design review authority for mainstream projects Contribute to the development of engineering excellence within the business Personal Requirements: An honours degree in
