Functional Tester
Contract
Functional Testers required for a 3mth contract based in Newcastle to work for a large government client. Role involves script development and test execution on a major project. This may cover all phases of testing including Requirements review and analysis, Test case production, test script development and execution of Test Scripts. The role will be client facing so strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Technical Skills (essential): 3 years Test Analyst experience in large project environments. Familiarity with Unix, certainly basic utilities SQL (Sybase) Technical Skills (preferred): Shell Scripting experience useful. Qualifications (essential): ISEB Foundation Qualifications (preferred): Role requirements To understand and be able to analyse requirements documentation and specifications To be able to write and execute test scripts To perform tests as detailed in approved Test Specifications To maintain accurate test records and results To escalate high priority issues/failures to the Test Team Leader To work as part of a team to deliver the project Business Knowledge (essential): Must have experience of working with PAYE systems detailed on CV This will have been gained through having worked with HMRC (on the Revenue side) or ASPIRE To discuss role in more detail please call me on 01616013352.
