Job Details| Principal Mechanical Engineer | Contract | | We require an experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering expertise in order to lead the complete product design cycle. This includes; Conceptual design, detail design, analytical support of design, design to meeting requirements, design to cost, validation and product type approval and qualification. Technical interface with customer and management of any of these activities. The Purpose of the role is to support technical proposals and submissions and to provide an engineering input throughout all phases of the project across core markets as required. You will have full authority for conducting the tasks directed by the Chief Mechanical Engineer and the Project Leader, where appropriate and for the technical supervision of any junior staff allocated to his tasks. General Duties: To create system and subsystem design specifications and where appropriate software requirements and interface specifications which capture and decompose the customer's requirements. To develop improve, and control Standard Work methodology and the Engineering analysis facilities and will also be responsible for developing the level of competency in analysis techniques in other engineers and designers. Where appropriate, to create standalone specifications for sub-contracts, which reflect the customer and Company requirements. To provide robust conceptual and detail designs to satisfy the customer's requirements.
