Our Client was formed in 1992 from a requirement to provide UK MOD Defence Estates with a multi disciplined facilities management service. Today our client employs over 1200 people and provides its customers with a single source FM solution which provides results quickly and without undue complication, anywhere in the world. Our client is seeking a fully qualified Plumber for its site at Basrah Airport, Southern Iraq. This position is based at the UK MOD site at Basrah Airport and the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all plumbing requirements that emerge at this UK military camp. Knowledge and Skills: The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Plumber (preferably with a JIB Card) and ideally have experience of planned/reactive maintenance. Ideally your experience will be supported by some technical qualification in plumbing eg UK City & Guilds Craft (Advanced) or equivalent. You should have knowledge of water and sewage treatment plants and reverse osmosis operations would be beneficial. Ideally you would have additional qualifications and skills in vented and un-vented hot water systems and legionalla testing. Experience of working in post conflict, remote sites or in other arduous environments would be ideal. You should possess excellent communication skills in English and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
