IT Support Manager - up to £40k + benefits. My client is a rapidly expanding company based in the North East. Due to this continuous expansion, a fantastic opportunity is available within the organisation for an IT Support Manager. The role is very much a hands-on position, involving working with users in all areas of the business. Flexibility is required as although you will be based in the North East, you will cover the IT Support function across 5 sites across the North of England and you will be required to spend at least one day a week at another site. The successful candidate will be from an internal IT role (preferably SME) with a strong support background, and also have manager or team leader experience. This is a high profile position within the organisation, which brings its own pressure from board level and internal user groups, therefore, you will need to be strong-willed with excellent people skills. Key technical skills revolve around a Microsoft environment. Users will use Office 2000 or 2007 and a variety of bespoke industry software applications. Commercial knowledge of Citrix and SQL Server is also required. This position offers a future career path for the right individual as the organisation and its IT Infrastructure.
