Our client is a major UK express parcels carrier and part of a large privately owned group. With a network of 62 depots, employing over 7000 staff and a turnover in excess of £350 million they operate in a very challenging market and are committed to a high quality home and business delivery service nationwide. They are currently seeking an Operations Manager for their depot located in Norfolk. This is an outstanding opportunity to assist the Depot General Manager and take the day to day responsibility for the running of a busy express parcels depot in achieving the high efficiency and customer service standards our client sets. All your management and people development skills will be called into play in this dynamic operational role. With a positive and practical approach, you will develop a team culture that is both commercially and customer orientated, ensuring performance, costs and resources meet our client's objectives. You will be planning and optimising depot resources, managing and motivating warehouse and transport staff, developing and driving total quality and customer services initiatives and leadership and motivation of your team. Key areas of accountability will be service levels and cost control. Knowledge and Skills: To meet this challenge you will be an accomplished Operations/Transport Manager with your experience gained in an express parcels
