Job Details| HR Manager (Maternity Cover 1 Year) | Contract | | The HR Manager role provides a full HR function to the management and staff in Gamma Telecom Holdings Limited (and subsidiary companies). This is a stand-alone role covering transactional HR duties and a small amount of strategic involvement. Gamma Telecom Holdings Limited employees circa 160 people between four UK sites (Manchester, Glasgow, Docklands and Newbury) and also home/field-based employees. In addition, there are currently two subsidiary companies: one in Budapest (16 staff) and one in Gosport, Hampshire (70 staff). We have a maternity cover vacancy for approximately 1 year, to start in mid-July 2008. A handover period will apply at the start and finish of the contract. Candidates should have solid HR experience and must be able to show progression through all levels of HR work, for example from HR Assistant/Administrator through HR Officer and HR Manager/Business Partner. It is expected that candidates would have between 5-10 years post-qualification HR experience in order to have the background knowledge and understanding to carry out this stand-alone HR Manager role. Experience in small to medium organisations is essential. Telecoms experience is not essential. Generalist HR skills. Strong interviewing skills. Excellent English skills both written and spoken. Ability to understand complex legal documents. Ability to write clear policy and procedural documents. Excellent attention to detail and understanding of legal implications of language used.
