Forwarding Supervisor
Permanent
Based in Middlesex, this Forwarding Supervisor will be managing a team of 11 + operation/customer service staff, working for this specialised department, mainly export airfreight. Other general duties will include: To oversee and maintain the accurate and timely despatch of the customers diplomatic mail/equipment and personal effects. Ensuring the team is motivated, personally developed and that relevant resource is in place to meet customer demand. Customer liaison at the highest level with timely, accurate and proactive information. Maintain and develop the shipment consolidation/merge function for the company's Contract. General office administration duties etc. Training/coaching will be provided. Applicant must have 3 years experience of end-to-end export process, including: Airline bookings (incl PBs and GFX), basic rate negotiations, Waybill preparation Impatex-NES, Aviation Security Level 4 at a supervisory level. However this company would look at an Operations Team Leader or Supervisor, even if they have just been in charge of one member of staff. Other skills required include: Good working knowledge of MS Word and MS Outlook and an excellent knowledge of MS Excel and Impatex. Good understanding of air import and ocean processes.
