Associate Journal Publishing Manager

We have just registered an excellent opportunity for an Associate Journal Publishing Manager to join a publishers who have stunning purpose built offices in Oxfordshire. You will be required to manage a group of the Professional Division's list of journals and to have overall responsibility for the performance of these titles in terms of strategic development and financial performance. Duties and responsibilities will include: Overall responsibility for the successful financial and editorial performance of selected titles, including price-setting, budgeting and expenditure decisions. Research, agree and implement ideas for developing the content, revenue and profitability of titles managed. Propose and agree financial forecasts and other key financial decisions, including pricing, with society officers and external editors. Reporting on these journals to editors. Monitor contract terms for own titles and working closely with the subject team, take responsibility for ensuring their successful renewal or renegotiation. Draft and revise agreements as appropriate. Consult with other departments and share information necessary to enable effective relationship management by each individual department, and to ensure proper editorial management and fulfilment of contractual obligations.
