Secretarial Manager

A fabulous opportunity has arisen with one of our corporate clients based in central Uxbridge. They are looking for an experienced manager to lead their team of secretaries. You would be dealing with performance management, handling employee relations issues, teambuilding as well as training and development initiatives. Duties will also include but not exclusive to: Manage/coordinate resourcing of all secretarial staff by monitoring secretarial coverage and overtime; distributing work assignments, projects, special requests, and support as appropriate. Analysis of, and standardisation, of work procedures to maximize efficiency and accuracy of all work production and increase productivity. Manage performance for all secretarial staff through a continuous process of planning coaching (providing ongoing, specific, and balanced feedback regarding performance), and assessment (evaluation of performance). Manage performance process for all secretaries incorporating feedback from appropriate sources; regular Partner/senior staff meetings regarding secretarial performance, client feedback and employee feedback. Identify performance gaps and individual developmental needs; prepare written documentation for and delivery of disciplinary feedback as necessary. Train/Coach staff on necessary skills and work procedures. Secretarial resource management - recruitment, retention and induction of new staff, including temporary resource and contract staff.
