My Client is looking for an experienced Senior Software Team Leader with proven experience of leading a team of software developers. We are looking for a high calibre individual to fulfil this challenging role, leading a team of 5-8 highly skilled software developers, responsible for the core technology of a world-class software product shipping on multiple platforms, with annual revenues in excess of $100M. You will be responsible for: All aspects of the software development life cycle including design, architecture, development, testing, support and maintenance. Translating customer requirements into product features. Management and mentoring of a team of highly skilled software developers. For the successful candidate, there is the opportunity for rapid promotion to an even more senior role. ESSENTIAL SKILLS Education to Degree Level ideally Computer Science or similar subject. Proven technical experience in software development. Proven experience of leading a team of software developers. Proven track record in software development. Strong technical software background. Able to work directly with customers and partners if required. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS C/C++. Wide range of platforms, including Windows; Linux; flavours of Unix on different hardware architectures. Strong architecture and design skills. Experience of Cobol highly advantageous. Experience of language design, compilers, run-time advantageous.
