Title: HR Manager Location: Chatham, Kent Salary: 40k-45k + car allowance + benefits Duration: Permanent Summary: My client is a shipping and logistics company with a number of operations nationwide, including the Medway Estuary. There is currently a vacancy for an HR Manager at the base of operations near Chatham. This is a generalist role encompassing recruitment, change management and performance management with involvement in employee relations including disciplinaries and grievances. You will have the opportunity to work closely with business Manager in implementing HR. You will have the opportunity to work closely with business Manager in implementing HR policies that will enable the organisation to achieve long-term objectives. There are some key projects this year which you will take ownership of such as management development, restructuring, harmonising pay processes and TUPE. Supported by a team of 2, this is an exciting opportunity as it will enable you to bring and implement ideas and really make a difference. Main Duties: To assist the Group HR function with specific activities related to the achievement of business objectives and medium/long term HR strategies. To support the development and improvement of HR systems and procedures and reviewing these in accordance with current requirements and employment legislation. To provide support and first line advice to line Manager on all HR issues. Negotiate with Trade Unions within the parameters set by the Company.
