Job Details| Generator Electrician - Iraq | Contract | | Our Client was formed in 1992 from a requirement to provide UK MOD Defence Estates with a multi disciplined facilities management service. Today our client employs over 1200 people and provides its customers with a single source FM solution which provides results quickly and without undue complication, anywhere in the world. Our client is seeking a fully qualified Generator Electrician for its site at Basrah Airport, Southern Iraq. This position is based at the UK MOD site at Basrah Airport and the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective maintenance of generator sets ranging from 250 ? 500 KVA which are operated at this UK military camp. Knowledge and Skills: The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Generator Electrician with experience of maintaining generators in a range of 250-500 KVA. You will have gained experience and have a sound knowledge of fault diagnosis and repair of computer controlled synchronization panels of generators linked in parallel series. Experience of working in post conflict, remote sites or in other arduous environments would be ideal. You should possess excellent communication skills in English and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines. Good communication skills are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
