A leading Bank are looking for a candidate with solid experience in financial services to fill a Relationship Manager role in Chelmsford or Basildon in business banking. The ideal candidate will have experience of SME and will be used to dealing with clients with turnovers of between 1 and 100, but more specifically 2 and 6, million pounds. This role will be attractive to high potential candidates looking for a significant challenge. The emphasis will be on business development and the management of those relationships with a range of business members (customers). You will also be responsible for making lending decisions within delegated lending limits whilst protecting the bank's assets by minimising credit risk. You will have the responsibility of developing and implementing the business plan to achieve specific targets relating to key results areas, of identifying and developing new opportunities and quality leads to achieve business objectives. You will assess quality lending of proposals, prepare and submit for approval; establish, develop and use networks of internal and external contacts; assess and take appropriate action on irregular accounts. You will have Relationship Management experience, previous exposure to banking, finance, legislation and statutory requirements.
