Our client is a specialist third party logistics provider, with an enviable client list. Due to continued development within their network, they now have an exciting opening within transport management. The successful applicant will be required to ensure the effective running of the transport department resulting in a timely and cost effective delivery. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent man-management and people skills, together with experience of working effectively within a unionised environment. Key responsibilities will include; Ensuring that KPI's and customer service levels are achieved, continually review operational procedures in line with the customers requirements. The successful candidate will be a CPC holder and be knowledgeable with current transport legislation, including the working time directive. You must be flexible with regards to working shift. You will already be an accomplished man-manager with a dynamic and forward approach to problem solving. This is a great opportunity to join an innovative organisation with real career opportunities.
