Electronics Project Manager to manage electronics development/implementation contracts for major railway suppliers in the U.K., both overground and underground, involving train information, CCTV communications and Scada systems. Duties include: Management of design, development, manufacture, trials, acceptance testing and delivery of electronics communications products to time & budget; management of customer interface; resource & programme planning; risk management; internal financial control & reporting. Applicants must have strong project management experience of design and production projects involving bespoke electronic and software systems and with a demonstrable history of delivery to time and cost whilst maintaining customer satisfaction. Experience with system design of railway communications systems is mandatory. The right candidate for this position will be able to quickly command the respect of the team, other contractors and customers alike and inspire his team to succeed with minimum direction and supervision. To repeat, you must have hands-on experience of electronics design, and management of such projects, for the rail industry or will not be considered. This role is not suitable for applicants with a background only in IT. This role requires considerable prior experience so is not suitable for recent graduates. Salary £40k-£50k according to experience and seniority.
