CAD DESIGNER/TECHNICIAN AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY Berkshire A CAD Designer/Technician is now required at this centre of excellence based in Berkshire responsible for developing, designing and manufacturing a specialised type of automotive component. The CAD Designer/Technician will join the Product Engineering Team and will support the Project Engineers as well as the Development Engineers with design work and the production of drawings. The position will involve the design of clamps and clamp assemblies together with other design work such as testing fixtures. As CAD Designer/Technician you will also have involvement in validation testing within their in-house laboratory and organising tests carried out at external laboratories will be required. Educated to HNC level or equivalent, the successful candidate will be a focused and motivated individual who is able to work within the team with good interpersonal skills. You will ideally have experience of working with industrial metal products in a manufacturing environment. Significant experience in either design and/or testing would also be desirable. A mechanical engineering background and experience with CAD systems preferably ProEngineer is also highly advantageous for this role.
