This award-winning retailer has enjoyed substantial growth since it`s inception and is now probably the leading business of its kind in the world. A constant drive to innovate and expand their product portfolio has meant they can now be considered as a one-stop shop for a broad variety of consumer goods. The position comprises all aspects of a typical buyer role with an emphasis on rapid growth and development of this completely new category. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver commercially viable ranges and drive sales and profitability through robust negotiations and effective promotions. The successful applicant will be expected to manage an existing supply base of major branded manufacturers as well as source new suppliers in order to achieve further category growth through new business opportunity. This role will appeal to strong, commercial buyers looking to utilise their skills within a highly competitive and fast moving market. Although relevant experience is an advantage, the company is keen to consider applicants with an understanding of seasonality and experience of dealing with major branded manufacturers. The successful applicant will possess strong negotiation skills and will be able to work autonomously to deliver category growth.
