A summary of the JobServe upgrades
The latest version of our website is an exciting milestone for JobServe. Although the visible changes for job seekers and advertisers alike are relatively slim, a wealth of improvements and enhancements have been made “behind-the-scenes” and will become more evident to all users over the coming months.
There are a number of changes that are immediately visible on the site. Some of these are summarized below, but you can also read about changes for job seekers and changes for advertisers.
Navigation
One of the changes you will notice is that we have updated our menus, navigation and footer. Navigation is now consistent across the entire website, and provides easy access to all the core functions. Breadcrumb links have also been provided as shortcuts.
New Login Links
Previously the login boxes used to be on the homepage. As part of an upgrade of our security processes, this has now been moved to a separate page of its own (accessible from the Login/Register link in the top-right corner of the site). When you logged into JobServe, you will now see a “padlock” in your browser highlighting that the page is secure, and further emphasising our protection of your personal data.
JobServe Global
One of the biggest changes that this release brings is the readiness for JobServe to launch its new territories.
Up until now, JobServe has operated across four broad territories. This release moves JobServe to be country-centric, and thus enabling us to tailor our delivery to fit perfectly across the globe. There is now a JobServe site for every country and, over the coming months, we will be adding further languages – starting with French and German.
In addition to the above, all of JobServe will now run from the jobserve.com web address. The previous country addresses will continue to work, but you will find you are redirected to the correct page on the .com site.
During 2012 we plan to deploy further web servers globally, further bolstering our existing infrastructure. This should help ensure that all of our customers and job seekers receive the best/optimum browsing experience.
Industries
As part of this release, JobServe has expanded its industry list. The expanded list also brings on additional partners in the JobServe partner network, ensuring that JobServe is able to deliver quality jobs and quality applications across all of its industries.
