Description

Key Role:
Provide technical and project management leadership to enterprise architecture, software engineering and research, and development tasks. Determine deliverables, milestones, and develop project plans and project cost estimates. Support various project management functions, including monitoring the financial and subcontracting status and identifying program risks. Ensure development of detailed schedules for projects from initiation to delivery, manage changes, and risks. Monitor the status of work projects, including cost, schedule, and staffing. Perform quality reviews of technical work, deliverables, and provide weekly and monthly status reports and support ad hoc reporting request and implement overall business process improvements and project management best practices. Perform customer management functions at the project level and interface with multiple business management departments, including finance, subcontracting, contracting, purchasing, and recruiting to ensure that project requirements are met. This position is located in Aberdeen, MD.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:-5+ years of experience with providing technical project management support to a technical team performing work, including software engineering or enterprise-level architecture development-5+ years of experience with delivering in a technical discipline, including software engineering and agile software development-5+ years of experience with developing detailed project plans in Microsoft Office Project, managing a team and project to plan, managing risk, and financials-5+ years of experience with managing a technical project team of at least 8 personnel-Experience with developing and presenting creative briefs in Microsoft Office PowerPoint targeted at the right level audience, including for senior leadership-Experience with using all Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and MS Project-Secret clearance-BS degree in CS, EE, or Software Engineering

Additional Qualifications:-Experience in DoD and Army data architecture and standards preferred-Experience with Tactical Messaging Systems and Messaging Protocols preferred -Experience with technical Microsoft Office preferred-PMP, ITIL, or SOA Architect Certifications preferred
