Medical Technologist

Position Description:
Utilizes independent judgment in performing both routine and complex laboratory tests using a variety of techniques, instrumentation, and equipment in order to assist the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Exercises professional judgment in order to prioritize and evaluate varying test requests efficiently.

Qualifications Required:
Bachelor of Science degree, with certification/registry or eligibility, at the Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist level with an accredited agency (ASCP) or Associate Degree with categorical certification at the Technologist level. Interpersonal and communication skills needed for interaction with all members of the health care team.
